The Senior Stability Program is DAP's comprehensive housing stabilization model designed specifically for medically vulnerable seniors experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the Lansing area. The program combines intensive case management, healthcare coordination, and a structured housing continuum that takes clients from crisis stabilization all the way to long term permanent housing. Harbor House provides immediate safe stabilization housing for seniors who cannot safely access traditional shelter environments. Permanent Supportive Shared Housing for the Aged provides an affordable long term housing option for seniors on fixed incomes while they await subsidized apartment placements. Care coordination and case management runs through every stage of the program ensuring that no client navigates the system alone.
Harbor House and our Permanent Supportive Shared Housing for the Aged are not standalone programs. They are both components of our Senior Stability Program. On the website they should be presented as sub programs within Senior Stability not as separate equal programs. The Senior Stability Program page should explain all three components together and show how they work as a continuum. Each component can have its own detailed section on that page but they all live under the Senior Stability umbrella.
